For the 2018-2019 school year, the ClassDoJo system was set to be implemented in the second semester, starting at the beginning of February with 4 bi-weekly competitions to determine the seeding for the newly branded Goeller Cup Playoffs. There were 6 classes this school year ranging from French level 1 to level 4. Classes would be ranked following the fourth competition based first on wins, then by points, into the Goeller Cup Playoffs. The top 2 seeded teams would automatically advance to the semi-final round.

The Goeller Cup Playoffs uses a fixed bracket, so the top-ranked team will always receive the winner of the closest-seeded match up, in this case, it was the 4v5. This is how Period 5 (#1) met Period 3 (#5) and Period 7 (#2) met Period 1 (#6). The winners of these matches would face-off in the penultimate round to become the first-ever winners of the Goeller Cup. This round featured four competition days for each class.
Period 5 defeated Period 3 by a score of 3-2. Period 5 was the dominant class for a majority of the series thanks, in majority, to a heavy points-loss day for Period 3. Period 5 was the highest-earning class in terms of points in the semi-finals, garnering 235 points in their victory. They advanced to the Goeller Cup Finals, marking the first time that a 5th period class had advanced to the Finals.
