Mr. Bracken was placed in State College Area School District for his student teaching semester. He worked at a dual location site with 7th grade French and 8th grade French at Mount Nittany Middle School and French I at State College Area School District. He worked with Madame Brogan Goeller, for whom the trophy was later named.

Following his student teaching and graduation from Penn State University, Mr. Bracken took a job teaching French levels 1-4 at Millbrook High School in Frederick County, Virginia. The ClassDojo Playoffs would be rebranded as the Goeller Cup Playoffs here but would only be completed during two of the five years that he was employed at MHS. In 2018, Mr. Bracken decided not to use this system just to get acclimated to his new job. In March 2020, the competition was canceled due to early school closures as a part of the COVID-19 Pandemic. The 2020-2021 school year was also dramatically impacted by the COVID-19 Pandemic and due to a very unique school schedule, Mr. Bracken opted to not award the trophy this school year.

Bracken relocated to Clark County, NV during the summer of 2022 after accepting a teaching position at Las Vegas High School as the French teacher. He took with him a brand new trophy to serve as the Goeller Cup which would be awarded for the first time at the conclusion of the 2023 school year.
In 2023-2024, the regular season portion of the competition was rebranded under the name LCF - La Ligue de la classe de français. For the first time ever the regular season featured head-to-head match ups and weekly opponents. Every class will have 15 "games" which requires a head-to-head match up against all of the other classes 3 times. Winning each week would award the winning class 2 points, while ties were worth 1 point. Losing classes would not receive points in the standings.
