Period 3 has participated in all eight French Class League (LCF) competitions, the first in 2017 and most recently in 2026. Period 3 is only one of three classes that have competed in every season, the others being Periods 4 & 7. Currently, at Las Vegas High School, Period 3 is the second class on A days in the A-B block schedule cycle. 

Historically, Period 3 has been the most successful playoff class, having won more playoff matchups and appearing in more finals than any other class. Period 3 is the only class period to have appeared in the Goeller Cup Finals (or equivalent) at every school where Mr. Bracken has worked. Third period was the runner-up in the inaugural ClassDoJo Playoffs in State College Area School District in 2017. The 2022 class at Millbrook High School won the Goeller Cup. In 2023, at Las Vegas High School, Period 3 became the first class period to reach back-to-back finals. 

2022 Goeller Cup Championship

The 2021-2022 school year at Millbrook High School was the only version of the French Class League that used an entire school year format with quarterly competitions leading into the playoffs. Period 3, nicknamed les tRois (a play on words of the French word for 3 and Kings) and called the "Kings" in English, was a French level 2 class and finished the first quarter with 700 points, good enough for third place. In the second quarter, they finished third again, earning 966 points for a season total of 1,633 at the halfway point of the regular season. They earned 949 points in the third quarter but, this time, finished fourth in the quarterly standings and dropped to fifth (of seven) in the overall standings with no wins and 2,615 points. In the short fourth-quarter competition, Period 3 finished fifth with 424 points. Despite having the fourth-best point total of any class, Period 3 finished the regular season in sixth place after failing to win any of the four competitions, as rankings were done by wins then points. 

Entering the 2022 Goeller Cup Playoffs, the sixth-seed tRois faced third-ranked Period 5 (Les cinq gaulois) in the opening round. Period 3 held a 4-1 lead through most of the round and defeated Period 5 by the same score after the final day of the round. In the semi-finals, Period 3 faced second-ranked Period 1 (Les macarons). They defeated the Maracons by a 3-2 score that came down to the wire on the final day of competition. Period 3 finished one point behind Period 1 in the highest student category and just 38 points in overall points, the closest that any team has come in history to a 5-category sweep.

In the 2022 Goeller Cup Finals, Period 3 met the top-seed Period 6 (Les triomphants). Period 3 became the 2022 Goeller Cup Champions after defeating Period 6 in 5 class days by a score of 3-2. Their good attitude and behavior through the first four class days helped them to stay ahead of Period 6 throughout the final competition. They were only the second but are also the last championship class from the 5 years of Mr. Bracken's career at Millbrook High School.
